Eric Docter
President and Chief Executive Officer
Eric Docter has been President and CEO of Edgenuity, Inc. since its founding in 2003 when, as an experienced high tech executive, he recognized the need to bring the best practices and proven methodologies used in the business world to the field of education.  Prior to Edgenuity, Docter was the co-founder and Vice President of Marketing at WebLearning, a K-12 education start-up dedicated to providing personalized web content and a suite of instructional planning and management applications to teachers and principals. Prior to WebLearning, he co-founded Avulet, a virtual lab for testing networks.
He also has 18 years experience in building Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Internet technology companies, having held senior management positions at Broadvision, The Vantive Corporation (now Oracle), and Brock Control System (a pioneer in the CRM market.)  He was also instrumental in helping each company grow from an early stage to a successful IPO.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Marketing from The Ohio State University.
Ameetha Palanki
Chief Academic Officer
As Chief Academic Officer, Ameetha Palanki is responsible for the educational strategy behind Edgenuity.  Prior to Edgenuity, she was the director of Product Content and Product Strategy for WebLearning, where she authored the educational taxonomy that enabled the personalization of web-based content.
From 1996-2000, Palanki was Director and Faculty Member at the UCLA School Management Program, where she trained and coached Bay Area public school principals and school teams through the process of whole school change. Prior to UCLA, she held a number of strategic roles in education reform as a Research Fellow for the Center on Urban Education, Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts; Vice President and Director of Research for the Institute for Responsive Education in Boston; and Senior Research Associate for the Center on Families, Schools, Communities and Children’s Learning in Boston.
Palanki earned a Ph.D. from Brandeis University and an A.B. Social Science Field Major, Honors Thesis, from the University of California, Berkeley.  She has published numerous articles on strategies for educational improvement.
Mindy Lieberman
Vice President, Engineering and Operations
As Vice President of Engineering and Operations, Mindy Lieberman is responsible for all aspects of software architecture and development at Edgenuity. She is an accomplished leader in software engineering with a balanced set of technology, process, and operational skills.
Prior to joining Edgenuity in 2006, she held senior management positions at Cisco for eight years, including responsibility for systems architecture, development of all new marketing IT transactional applications, and deployment of Siebel-based call centers in sixteen countries. Before that, she was a senior software engineer for Berkeley Systems in Berkeley, California, and principal consultant and architect for Mindwaves Software in San Francisco, bringing innovative products to market.
Lieberman holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union, New York.
