Assessment Edge State and district testing provide important information for monitoring progress and assessment of learning; however, to use data to inform and improve instruction, districts need more frequent and quality assessments. The Assessment Edge application enables districts to comprehensively capture student performance based on testing, teacher observation, classroom assignments, and homework. The application provides a curriculum-embedded grade book enabling teachers to easily map assignments to the curriculum and make grading a standards-based practice. Assessment Edge further generates a mastery book of rubrics based on the curriculum or standards to assess student performance on tasks that are not easily captured through conventional testing. Edgenuity also imports district and state testing data, combined with rubric and grade data, to deliver an integrated view of student performance.

District Leadership
The Assessment Edge enables districts to manage all forms of assessment across the entire district including state testing, district benchmark tests, and classroom-based assessments. The application analyzes this data and presents it visually; it remains persistently available through profiles to eliminate querying and minimize district support to disseminate data to schools quickly. Reporting is available for district assessment directors interested in customized reports to further refine specific data inquiries around individual programs or subgroups of students.
Principals and Site Leadership
The Assessment Edge provides principals and site instructional leaders with quick access to data and analyses of student performance to inform discussions with individual teachers as well as for use during collaborative planning time or meetings. The Assessment Edge also includes workflow tools to enable principals and site leaders to manage the administration of different assessments including grades, rubrics, and district benchmark assessments. The data from the system can also be used to generate standards-based report cards that are submitted online by teachers to principals for review and approval prior to printing. This application enables principals and site leaders to identify discrepancies between different types of student assessments and to develop a common practice and set of criteria for determining student mastery of the curriculum and standards.
Teachers
The Assessment Edge combines multiple measures of assessment into a comprehensive view of student performance and mastery over time. The profiles provide data to teachers without the complexities of querying and delays in waiting for reports from the district to make decisions about adjustments to instructional strategies. By collecting and analyzing data from tests, grades, and rubrics, teachers have readily available profiles of student performance to easily group students and differentiate instruction. By combining all applications for assessments in one place, teachers can now understand how students are performing without having to go to multiple systems or reports.
Families
The Assessment Edge provides families with a comprehensive set of student performance measures including grades, rubrics, and testing. This information enables families to understand how students are performing in class, what assignments are missing, and how students differ in their test achievements versus classroom-based assessments. The Assessment Edge also provides families with access to their children's standards-based report cards and final grades, so that they know exactly how well their children are performing at all times - not just the end of the marking term.
