Edgenuity, a leading provider of online curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, today announced that CEO Sari Factor has won the EdTech Leadership Award in this year’s Founder/CEO category. The EdTech Awards, presented by EdTech Digest, are the largest and most competitive recognition programs in all of education technology. For nearly a decade, the awards have honored people and products in and around education for their outstanding contributions to the transformation of education through technology.

Sari joined Edgenuity in 2011 and, under her leadership, the company is now one of the preeminent online learning providers in the K-12 sector, serving more than four million students in the United States. Edgenuity’s products and services are currently used in each of the top 10 largest school districts – as well as 21 of the 25 largest school districts – within the U.S.

“I am honored to receive this EdTech leadership award, a distinction which would not have been possible without the hard work and ongoing contributions from across the entire Edgenuity network,” said Edgenuity CEO Sari Factor. “Our vision at Edgenuity has always been about bringing high-quality educational opportunities to more students in more ways. Our continued success is a testament to our wonderful team and to the strong partnerships with schools and districts we’ve built over the years.”

Also honored by this year’s The EdTech Awards was Odysseyware, which was named as the winner for Best Internship Solution as well as a finalist for Best Digital Courseware Solution. Research shows that taking just one CTE course increases the probability of graduating by 3.2%. With over 80 CTE courses aligned to each of the 16 national career clusters, Odysseyware’s curriculum prepares students for postsecondary success in a variety of fields and experience applications of subject matter outside school walls, helping to increase their motivation, understanding, and retention of concepts.

ClassPace was also selected as a finalist for Best e-Learning/Blended Solution.

Edgenuity recently welcomed Odysseyware to the company following the acquisition of Glynlyon by Weld North Education. Weld North Education, in partnership with Silver Lake, is the largest pure play digital curriculum company in the country, focused on developing digital curriculum and tools for pre-K–12 students.
