Instructional Efficacy

Imagine Learning is committed to developing innovative courses that are grounded in research and best instructional practices. Imagine Learning courses are based on four well-established, evidence-based principles:

  1. Instruction is systematic and explicit, designed to help students acquire, practice, and apply skills and knowledge;
  2. Courses promote deep learning and metacognition;
  3. Courses incorporate multimedia and graphic organizers in ways that reduce cognitive load and help students learn more effectively; and
  4. courses implement principles of Universal Design for Learning, incorporating multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement to meet students’ individual needs.

Imagine Learning has aligned all course content to Florida’s curriculum standards. Each lesson is designed with student-centered objectives that maximize the use of Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning Domains and provide students with an optimal learning experience unique to each course. See https://www.edgenuity.com/florida/courses-curriculum/ for additional information.
