Having meaningful conversations about race and racism is a crucial component of whole learning, emotional intelligence, and student success in the classroom and beyond.
Developed by Point Made Learning and based on their award-winning documentary I’m Not Racist… Am I?,this engaging digital learning course guides students and educators through examination, conversations, questions, and reflections about systemic racism in the United States.
Look Deeper: Race follows 12 students through a year-long exploration into race, bias, racism, giving students a peer perspective as they watch other teenagers engaging in and discussing similar situations they face each day.
The course avoids focusing on students learning one “right” answer. The adaptable content is built around learning new ideas to consider and new strategies to move forward.
The nearly four-hour course is broken up into eight episodic lessons and features:
A KnowlEdge Academy companion course, Look Deeper: Race, Getting Started for Educators is also available to support school communities in implementing the curriculum.
