The North Mississippi Education Consortium Provides Social and Emotional (SEL) Learning Courses to MS Students Statewide
Mississippi students in grades 6–12 now have access to SEL courses at no additional cost to schools until June 30, 2022.
The Edgenuity and North Mississippi Education Consortium partnership provide rich and relevant Purpose Prep™ SEL curriculum that covers a wide range of highly relevant topics including:
- Restorative practices and principles
- Depression and hopelessness
- College and career readiness

Purpose Prep courses are delivered by mental health professionals, content experts, and global leaders in a highly adaptable, multimedia-rich format designed to engage students through transformative learning.
Courses + Curriculum, Grades 6-12
We’re proud to offer Mississippi schools MDE approved core curriculum, honors, AP®, credit recovery, CE, and general elective courses through Edgenuity® Courseware. Middle and high school students can use a combination of our rigorous, award-winning online curriculum and face-to-face instruction for initial credit or credit recovery.
Reading and writing activities in Mississippi science courses meet state-specific standards like these:
Relate how electrical energy transfers through electric circuits, generators, and power grids, including the importance of contributions from Mississippi companies.
Develop a logical argument for or against research conducted in selective breeding and genetic engineering, including (but not limited to) research conducted in Mississippi.
High Stakes Test Readiness, Grades 9-12
Edgenuity’s Virtual Tutor online test preparation courses prepare Mississippi students for the SATP2, MAP, ACT, SAT, GED, and other high stakes exams. Virtual Learning, Grades 6-12
Edgenuity Instructional Services offers state standards-aligned courses taught by our highly qualified, Mississippi-certified virtual instructors. You can use our virtual teachers to supplement your school’s course offerings, offset teacher shortages, offer summer school, provide NCAA-approved courses for your student-athletes, meet the needs of homebound learners, or develop and staff your own virtual school.
